Situated in the heart of Jerusalem, Israel, this five bed, four bath home blends modern elegance with organic forms to create a calm and inviting spaces amongst the backdrop of the city’s frenetic buzz. With soft, curvilinear furniture and walls, subtle architectural arches and a neutral colour palette designed to evoke the Jerusalem-stone from the old city, the design feels warm and balanced.
Carefully selected details and materials, such as the brass grill inlays and the Modern Moroccan motifs punctuate the design to add a sense of subtle artistry without overwhelming the space. Tactile fabrics and layered textures contribute to the comfortable, lived-in feel, while the formal living and dining zones combine functional design with understated sophistication. Curated art and furniture combining new production- timeless pieces as well as reupholstered vintage pieces add warmth and character to the space.
The result is a refined yet approachable home, offering a timeless aesthetic that complements contemporary living.
A ‘Tassel’ pendant light artfully hangs over the formal dining room, infusing the space with both beauty and function. Adjacent, the formal living room is framed by an archway—a modern take on the ancient Jerusalem archways—that provides a recess to tuck away the sliding glass doors for acoustic privacy.
A functional yet playful workspace featuring curved Burl-wood joinery and a Bespoke stained curved oak desk.
Curved joinery gently hugs the curved lime-plastered wall while the master bath features striking curved mirrored cabinets, seamlessly blending sculpture and function. A Pierre Jeanneret-inspired armchair sits effortlessly in front of the curved plaster TV unit balancing the soft elegance of the space.
Blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living, the informal living spaces, kitchen and alfresco dining merge together through a vernacular of Zellig tile and light-coloured materials, echoing the Jerusalem stone of the surrounding architecture, allowing the owners undisturbed 180 skyline views of Jerusalem.
